I don't remember learning to read. It's as much a part of me as my ability to do the Vulcan Salute without thinking. Rumor has it that my Aunt taught me to read when I was 4 years old and she was 15 years old. Apparently she was bored and I was ready to learn. It did cause for some issue in Kindergarten as I was bored. My daughter was also the only reader in her class in Kindergarten. She likes to keep up! :)
What do I do when not reading or working? I have two children who keep me busy, as well as a husband who loves the outdoors. I love to travel and to visit with my sister and I listen to a lot of music. Mostly British Punk, but I like a variety. I also watch a lot of movies on Netflix.
Why did I start blogging? I read a lot...did I say that already? :) I also have a teenage daughter who reads a lot. Why not review what I read so that it helps others make choices on books? Some of the books we've both read in the past five years or so have been amazing. It's wonderful to see the YA genre growing so much, I know that as a teen I read out of the adult section because there wasn't anything else to read! I'm sure I read some things I should never have read! There's so much out there now, there's no need to read things that aren't 'good' - which is purely subjective and my opinion. :)
