I think that if you're looking for a YA psychological thriller, this one is decent.  I figured it all out by halfway through, but I am an adult and I like to figure out riddles, so you can't really go by me on this one.

Isobel's mom and dad divorced when she was young, due to her dad's mental illness and her mom's inability to deal with it.  Now her mom is remarried, to a guy she barely knows and moving them all to an ISLAND.  Her new stepdad's name is Richard, but of course Isobel is calling him 'Dick'.  He also has a teenage son, Nate.  Nate is hot, but at first very rude...as is Isobel.  Oh yeah, did I mention that it's been less than a year since Dick's first wife and daughter drowned?  And that the house, I mean ESTATE, that they live in is named Morrigan?

It's all up to Isobel to figure out.  Is she mentally ill? Is Dick a killer?  Is her mom in on it?  Is it okay to date Nate or is that too creepy?

  2. hmmm, from looking at the cover of this one you wouldn't think that it is a psychological thriller, I just read Beautiful Lies by: Jessica Warman and it wasn't really my thing but, I just might check this one out!
