Oriana's Eyes by Celeste Simone

Publisher: iUniverse, Inc.

ISBN: 978-1440187247
Pgaes:  261

I received this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.

The world Oriana lives in only exists because one man, Odon, rescued them and divided them.  There are two pure races:  Winglets and Finlets.  Winglets have blond hair, blue eyes and pale skin.  Finlets have dark hair, dark eyes and dark complexions.  There are part-bloods and are treated as second class citizens.  Then there are half-bloods.  They are an equal mix of the purebloods and aren't respected at all and are considered the ultimate defiance of Odon.

Oriana always feels that something's wrong with her, but until she meets half-blood Dorian, she isn't sure what it is.  Things happen quickly and before she knows it, Oriana is in the midst of a rebellion.

Basically the story is about racism.  It's a decent storyline and the characters are good.  I think that Celeste Simone has a future in writing.
