I received this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

So there was this awful event that split the world in half and apparently half of it just...died.

Sixteen year old Glenn (a girl) lives on the surviving half with her dad.  her mom disappeared across the Rift, the border between the two halves.  Glenn's father is taken by the government because of an invention.  Glenn and her friend Kevin run away.  They decide to cross the Rift to escape, expecting a dead wasteland, but instead find a world of magic and secrets.

Glenn - seemed kind of dumb, maybe just naive?  She started out good and went downhill.

Kevin - Glenn's friend and possible love interest.  Annoying, changed too easily.

The scenes are very descriptive, but sometimes lacked detail about what was actually going on.  I sometimes had to go back and reread as things were confusing and I thought I missed things.

  1. Interesting. First even remotely negative thing we've heard about the book. But with our dystopian burn out, it's not really on our radar anyway.

    1. There is noticeably a bundle to know about this. I think you made various good points in features also.
his was actually an attention-grabbing subject, I am very fortunate to have the ability to come to your blog and I will bookmark this web page in order that I could come again another time.
