Marlo and Milton die in a freak accident involving a marshmallow bear and a bully.  Who knew the day would end so badly?   They find themselves in eternal 'darnation', a special realm for bad children to hang out until they turn 18.  At that point they will either be redeemed or go on to adult hell.

It seems to be a middle grade book, but the spoofs on historical figures might confuse them.  Bea 'Elsa' Bubb is the 'leader' of Heck, but I'm not sure if kids would connect that name with the devil.

The story has a lot of gross out scenes, such as crawling through the sewers and cutting open the teacher for biology class.

I think that the premise is excellent, but it's caught between YA and Middle Grade.  It's in Heck itself!
